Central Market: The market opened in 1888. The
present Art Deco building was built in 1928. This used to be the city's
main "wet market", but now sells Malaysian handicrafts such as
kebaya (the traditional blouse worn with a sarung),
songket (brocade), batik and souvenirs. Contemporary local arts are exhibited in The Annexe Gallery.
